For those who are familiar with Dr. Peter Senge's "The Fifth Discipline" 5 disciplines : namely 1) Systems Thinking 2) Shared Vision 3) Mental Model 4) Team Learning 5) Personal Mastery, there are distinct similarities between the two great thinkers. Dr. Deming's "Constancy of Purpose" is similar in concept with Shared Vision, and "Constancy of Methodology" concerns learning loop (PDCA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), which inherently requires Mental Model, Team Learning, and Personal Mastery.
