Why are there so many well intention people wanting to
achieve success in life still struggling and getting frustrated?
They put in a lot of efforts, spend a lot of time and money, attending
training and seminars, Dale Carnegie, Money and You, Napoleon Hill, etc.
They come with the beliefs that “if others can, why can’t I?” “Whatever mind
can conceive, things should happen”. And yet they are still struggling.
Similarly, why are there so many well intention organizations / corporations
wanting to excel, to be world class business, still struggling and getting
frustrated?
They put in a lot of efforts, engage the best international consultants,
management guru, to develop business strategies, human capitals. They also
come with the belief like “Total Quality” “Balanced Score Card” “Blue Ocean”
mindsets.
They design high sounding goals and visions (both the individuals and the
corporations), with exciting wordings or pictures. They put their focus on
their goals and visions, work diligently with regularly meetings and
monitoring.
In spite of such good intention and efforts, the success rate is still very
small.
Ideally compelling goals (for individual), mission / vision (for
corporations) entail enormous drive from the individual or entity, with
burning fire, positive emotions, with every cell in the body mobilized to
charge forwards. That is ideal. Our discussion is how to bring individual or
corporation to such high level of energy and things become self-creating.
Arising from the current workshop (refer Group
Coaching using NP and EP ) I conducted to a group of people with high
aspiration, I observe and discover another missing piece to the success
formula, which I put forward as a theory for discussion.
Goal / Mission – Focus
The focus on Life goal (for individual) or Mission and Vision (for
corporation) is expressed in something tangible.
For example : for individuals, the goals can be a nice
house, car, many properties, freedom to travel the world, implying
financially free, and better health.
For corporation : Higher revenue and profit, large market share, well sought
after products or services by customers.
With that tangible outcome as the focus, individuals or corporations will
look for ways to get there. They may follow certain successful model (proven
by others), or advised by consultants, or influenced by ideas from books or
trainers, etc.
The above implies a lot of trial and errors on the premise that there is no
one formula that solve all ills or provide the solutions, One man’s money
can be another man’s poison. This is where the struggling is on going.
Potentialities – the un-manifested
Perhaps it is useful to introduce and make distinction of two concepts:
Manifested and Un-Manifested.
The tangible goals, visions or missions e.g. nicer house, car, bigger
revenues, profit are all manifested, though such goals or visions are not
yet the current reality, they exists in the form of pictures, mental images.
They are not fully manifested, but can be a seed that can grow towards full
manifestation.
If these images are manifested (even partially), then there must be
something un-manifested to give rise to this degree of manifestation and
even more un-manifested to give rise to full manifestation.
This un-manifested is what I observe as being ignored and not aware of ,
resulting in unnecessary blood and sweat, efforts and struggle.
Un-manifested is also potentialities, something yet to come to fruition.
Something still inherently there, but not tapped, developed, in a lot of
cases, not even aware of.
Potentiality is WITHIN, not without
Potentiality is something inherent but not manifested. Potentiality is
WITHIN, not without.
But, too often, too much attention is focused on without: things to do,
activities to perform. Energy gets dispensed outwards, causing much stress
and efforts.
Outward activities can be : a) reading more books, attend more seminars,
getting more consultants’ advice, but little or no reflection on self inner
calling, deficiencies (individually and / or collectively), …
potentialities, b) more socialization, more networking, more cell groups
meeting, endless business meetings. Again little or no detection of inner
un-ease , arising emotions, .. which are blockages to the un-manifested
potentialities, c) more hard work, analysis, .. resulting in stress and thus
drain off energies, preventing getting in touch with true selves.
A Simple Model on Manifestation Process
A new idea, a vision, a picture … e.g. financially freedom in the form of
nicer house, car, travelling or customer satisfaction with higher sale,
revenue, profit etc. can be an initial start of the manifestation process.
But not fully manifested.
What are the un-manifested that can bring about fuller manifestation? What
are the inherent potentialities that can create the manifestation? – these
are key questions for the individuals / organizations. ….
Inherent potentialities can be in the areas of, say – higher creativity,
self confidence, assertiveness, disciplines, co-operations, expression,
acceptance, trusting, wisdom etc.
At the same time, these inherent potentialities are buried in thick mud due
to past conditioning, resulting in current state of lack of self confidence,
procrastination, reliance on others, suppressing of negative feelings,
un-acceptance, un-trusting, fear, and stubbornness. … - individually and
collectively.
And these are negative energies that get us stuck. They create blockages,
thus not able to move forward, except with more stress and efforts.
Focusing on Goals with High Consciousness on Potentialities
A balancing act is called for – focusing on goal with high consciousness on
potentialities – what level of awareness on inherent potentialities and
current limitation in blockages, which are mental, emotional and
psychological.
From my experience I use a simple, yet effective tool to be aware of such
potentialities, and take recognition by using Number Psychology.
Upon identification of layer of mud that cover the potentialities, the
negative emotions, belief systems and psychological make up (largely due to
past conditioning), balancing of these negative energies to positive, by
using Energy Psychology.
Then EP Coaching is used to create more structured action (not trial and
error approach like the above described) towards full manifestation of the
intended goals.
The above process is to be carried out individually or in a regular get
together support group or organization.
Potentialities, the Un-Manifested, are unlimited
Un-manifestation, by definition, is unlimited.
When one is aware of such vast potentialities (unknown and untapped), and
get them manifested, one will be surprised the outcome can be more than what
initially thought as your goals, vision or mission. It could be more than a
nicer home or car, more than the unique business brand with loyal customers,
more than the profit as initially envisioned.
Summary
While focusing on the tangible goals (the little manifested), raise
consciousness on the un-manifested, the potentialities. Take recognition of
what are in store, which are buried and hidden, remove the mental, emotional
and psychological blockages, thereby taking firm steps towards greater
manifestation.
Use the Power of Now to access the un-manifested, the potentialities.
