Completely
Surrender to God
I was often puzzled when
people said : “Completely surrender myself to God” “I am at
peace with God” “God gives me the most needed answer” “I will
pray to God to get the answer” “I have total faith and trust in
God”.
Although I was baptized in the
Church (a Roman Catholic), I do not, and could not use such language,
as I never experience as such.
After learning form energy
healing and its associated meditation, I
realized that I use just my rational mind in everything I do or do not
do. In trying hard to learn meditation, I again realize that my mind
has been working non-stop, dashing, or wondering from here to there,
trivial issues to problems and new ideas, incidents in the past or
present, or scenes of the future.
Even in sleep, the mind
continues to work non-stop in the form of dreams. Disturbed and
violent dreams do not help to improve health.
A machine operates non-stop is
certainly asking for trouble. So is our mind. Stress will build up
cumulatively, leading to poor health, sickness and diseases.
In meditation, we try to calm
our mind, control and pull back the wild horse so as not to let her
run lose. We make our mind not to deal with the past, nor the future,
and even on the present, our focus should be on “here and now” and
"nothingness".
In advanced state of
meditation, our mind is in complete stillness. Body and mind get fused
into one. We are no more our conscious self, nor the reality around.
We feel lighter. This is the time, the natural chemistry works by
itself in our body system, balancing the Yin and the Yan. Resonance is
achieved with the nature and universe around us. New visions, new
insights appear, arising from the emptiness. There is total blending
and between oneself and the cosmic force. This is where the deep
communication is made with God.
Now I have a better appreciation
when people (those who are genuine, not those using the name of God to
propagate his or her agenda or naively interpret the signals using his
or her rational minds) say : “Completely surrender myself to God”
“I am at peace with God” “God gives me the most needed answer”
“I will pray to God to get the answer” “I have total faith and
trust in God”.
As I was baptized in the
Church, I can start practicing my Christian faith more effectively
through the above understanding and meditation.
End.
