Introduction
My reflection on some quotations / extracts from the book

"… iatrogenic illness (i.e. illness
resulting from medical treatment) is actually the leading cause of
death in the United States and that adverse reactions to
prescription drug are responsible for more than 300,000 deaths a
year.
These are dismaying statistics, especially for a healing profession
that has arrogantly dismissed three thousand years of effective
Eastern medicine as unscientific, even though it is based on a
deeper understanding of the Universe. For thousands of years, long
before Western Scientifics discovered the laws of quantum physic.
Asians have honored energy (Qi) as the principal factor contributing
to health and well being. In Eastern medicine, the body is defined
by an elaborate array of energy pathways called meridians. In
Chinese physiologic charts of the human body, there energy networks
resemble electronic wiring diagram. Using aids like acupuncture
needles, Chinese physicians test their patient's energy circuits in
exactly the same manner the electrical engineers "troubleshoot" a
printed-circuit board, searching for electrical "pathologies"
|
Interestingly, Western "Civilization" that advocated
and promoted current Western Medicine, are turning to ancient
wisdom, with serious research, practice and understanding more and
more. Hospitals offer alternative healing systems, health insurance
institutions recognize and accept claims for such
treatment. Unfortunately Asians (having the source of the wisdom)
continue to reject such ancient wisdom as un-scientific and
anti-reglions. .

Listening to the Inner Voice – On Quantum Physics
"At the atomic level, matter does not even exist with certainty; it
only exists as a tendency to exist. "
"In retrospect, it should have been obvious to me and to other
biologists that Newtonian physics, as elegant and reassuring as it
is to hyper-rational scientists, cannot offer the whole truth about
the human body, let alone the Universe. Medical science keeps
advancing, but living organisms stubbornly refuse to be quantified.
Discovery after discovery about the mechanics of chemical signals,
including hormones, cytokines (hormones that control the immune
system), growth factors and tumor suppressors, cannot explain
paranormal phenomena. Spontaneous healings, psychic phenomena,
amazing feats of strength and endurance, the ability to walk across
hot coals without getting burned, acupuncture's ability to diminish
pain by moving "qi" around the body, and many other paranormal
phenomena defy Newtonian biology."

Advance in science and technology (Newtonian
paradigm) continues to separate soul, mind, and body. With such
fragmentation of life into parts (matters) and with more
specialization in the ever detailed parts, no wonder we experience
more alienation and symptoms that do not go away. Quantum physics
offer promises to re-discover the ancient wisdom, but its
understanding is still so little and most people hardly hear about
it, let alone know it.

"The science of epigenetic, which literally means "control
above genetics." profoundly changes our understanding of how life
controlled. In the last decade, epigenetic research has established
that DNA blueprint passed down through genes are not set in concrete
at birth. Genes are not destiny! Environmental influences, including
nutrition, stress and emotions, can modify those genes, without
changing their basic blueprint. And those modification,
epigeneticists have discovered, can be passed on to future
generations as surely as DNA blueprint are passed on via Double
Helix."

We have taken the belief for granted - genes control
our life. Hence when one has a serious disease, and explained by
Doctors it is the Genes, we take it as the truth and nothing but the
turth, live with it, take the medication for life with all its side
effect and suffering.
In Energy Healing, e.g. Energy Psychology
, (

("genes control our life"), without wasting time to argue, but
"re-program" the gene, remove the stress and negative emotion.

"…. The notion that the atom was the smallest particle in
the universe fell by the wayside with the discovery that the atom
itself is made up of even smaller, subatomic elements. Even more
earth-shattering than the discovery of those subatomic particles are
the revelation that atoms emit various "strange energies" such as
X-rays and radioactivity. At the turn of the twentieth century, a
new breed of physicist evolved whose mission was to probe the
relationship between energy and the structure of matter. Within
another ten years, physicists abandoned their belief in Newtonian,
material universe because they had come to realize that the universe
is not made of matter suspended in empty space but energy."

The concept of "empty space and energy" is NOT new
at all in the wisdom of the ancient culture - be it China, India,
Red Indian etc. It has taken us three to five thousand years to make
a round about turn (though not fully yet) to slowly begin to
appreciate it, not not make yet make full use of it.
Hence we have emergency concepts and books on "Energy Medicine"
"Space Medicine" to better open up the tresures from the past.
It is the "science-minded" people like us reject the old wisdom,
call it anti-scientific, anti-religion .... how sad is our present
mankind.
Energy Psychology is only one of the
many healing modalities using Energy.

The Germ Theory (founded by German physician, Robert Kock in
the 19th century, together with Pasteur) holds that bacteria and
viruses are the cause of disease. That theory is widely accepted
now, but in Koch's day it was more controversial. One of Koch's
critics was so convinced that the Germ Theory was wrong that he
brazenly wolfed down a glass of water laced with vibrio cholera, the
bacteria Koch believed caused cholera. To everyone's astonishment,
the man was completely unaffected by the virulent pathogen."
Instead of trying to figure out how the man avoided the dreaded
disease, scientists blithely dismiss this and other embarrassing
"messy" exceptions that spoil their theories. – exceptions simply
mean that a theory is not fully correct.
Similarly, science is unambiguous about its claim that the HIV virus
causes AIDS. But it has no conception as to why large numbers of
individuals that have been infected with the virus for decades do
not express the disease? More baffling is the reality of terminal
cancer patients who have recovered their lives through the bounds of
conventional theory, science completely disregards the fact that
they ever happened. Spontaneous remissions are dismissed as
unexplainable exceptions to our current truths of simply,
misdiagnoses.

Again, in Energy Psychology
, we leave the Germ theory aside (neither reject it, not take it
as the absolute truth). This world and universe is certainly more
than what science can perceive. Why get stuck in the little well of
the limited and incomplete knowledge. We just coach our mind towards
positive and trust the energy (a gift from the divine) to work for
us.
