For a Start, chew 30 Times

A reader finds the approach, treatment (recipe with natural foods) overwhelming. It is natural when a person has his or own own ideas of health, wellness and food, he or she will not be convinced easily to another totally different approach. Especially when he or she appears to be alright without major health problem.

From Dr. Lin's website, the reader does not mind to start first with the recommendation : "Chew 30 times, food in your mouth before you swallow".

Adapted from Dr. Lin's volume 2 one of the chapters, "The more you chew, the more you get younger", I will illustrate his advise and reasons as follow:

When we make a careful observation of people eating habit, we notice that most people eat very fast. Before the food in the mouth is properly chewed, another spoonful of food is inserted. They stuck in a lot of food in their mouth and stomach, until they get the feeling that they are full, satisfied with the meal.

Actually by this time, there is too much food for the digestive system to cope. The various parts of the digestive system need to work very hard, usually get stressed out and give up, either turn the extra food to fat (especially at the tummy side) or "leave it to rot". Can you imagine what will happen if you leave your unfinished bread and milk on the dinning table for days? What will happen to the extra, undigested food in your body system then?

Why we need to chew 30 times, minimally?

The longer the food get chewed in the mouth, the more activities are going on. More saliva will bring in natural chemicals on the food, acting as disinfectant, killing the harmful germs or living organism associated with the food.

You need to chew and chew, pay good attention, act as if this is the last and only delicious food left, as if you have been in hunger for days. You would not like to let that small food stuff disappear from your mouth into your stomach too quickly, you treasure it, chew and suck every milligram of juice from it,

When you act in such concentrated and focused manner, you are mobilizing every cell in the digestive system to be alert, to be ready for the chewed food and they can do their work effectively also, when the food is swallowed.

The chewed food not only get digested easily, you gain full sense of eating satisfaction, why not? you have chewed and sucked every milligram of the essence of the food. Because you get satisfied, you wouldn't over-eat. Over-eating only does not really give you a sense of satisfaction, but bloated and uncomfortable feeling.

With chewing and sucking exercises, the muscles and tissues in your mouth, your face and your brain are called into action.30 times for each spoon of food is quite a number of activities, more than the daily aerobic exercise.

For the ladies, you face will look more beautiful, compared with the dull, un-smiling and no exercises face.

The brain cells get triggered with every pull of the tissue and muscle. This will help to prevent Alzheimer disease (loss of memory especially among old people).

Next time, you become more observant of people around you:

  • Those beautiful and smiling ladies, they exercise their face muscle by chewing often. Likewise dull and unsmiling ones are the opposite. They hardly open their months.

  • Those young people who are always in a rush, no time to chew their food, they grow old faster, compared with those older people, who know how to enjoy every chew of their food, do not grow old so fast.

That is why Dr. Lin said " "The more you chew, the more you get younger",

Remember, chew you food, minimally 30 times before the next intake of food to your mouth. Enjoy your food thoroughly. Have a teamwork spirit to get all your digestive cells to work together by chewing and sucking the very food in your mouth.

End.
